Dear Parents, Guardians, and Friends of SMHS Steam Academy,
We need your help!
As many of you are probably already know, we are building the first ever Spring Mills garden! Our STEAM Academy students have incredible heart, and this idea was born out of the hope to provide fresh foods to our school's backpack program. Students have smart and inventive ideas to extend this program beyond our backpack program for an even wider reach in the community. We couldn't be more proud of the work, effort, and vision they've maintained this year.
After hours of research and design, this is the month we've all been waiting for! We're gearing up to tackle the building and construction of this garden head on.
We invite you join us Friday morning, May 5, at 8:30 AM to lead groups of STEAM students in the building of our raised bed garden, with a rain date of May 12. We welcome all! We only ask that you wear clothes you won't mind getting dirty and a pair of work gloves. Please bring along any tools (electric drill, staple gun, Phillips head screwdriver, extra gloves) that might be helpful as well.
Please RSVP below if you'd like to pitch in!
Can't make it? No worries! There's still a way for your to help. Please see the following list of supplies:
We do not take for granted the tremendous support we have had this year. Thanks to each of you for your willingness to help.
Here's to making a difference!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Barker, Mr. Clark, Mrs. Corder, Mrs. Hilliard, and the SMHS STEAM Academy Staff
